Ingredients 1kg Rump Steak 1 Large Lemon Black Pepper (to your taste) Salt (to your taste) 4 x large tomatoes 4 x onions 4 x table spoons Vegetable oil or Canola oil 2 1/2 table spoons Red Masala (or Kokni Masala) 5 x Garlic Cloves 1 teaspoon Olive oil
Prep Method Grate up tomatoes, onions, Garlic, In a large bowl mix all above ingredients together (except oil) with meat and cut & squeeze lemon with mixture. Add a teaspoon of olive oil. Marinate for about 90 minutes.
Heat Saucepan or pot and add oil and heat up for 10 minutes on medium heat. Add marinated ingredients and cook till all liquids evaporated. Then reduce heat to low until soft and braised till brown and saucy. You may add water to your requirement.
Serve with baby potatoes and mix veggies.
Optional serve with 'blatjang' - apricot chilli sauce (see recipe)
